Now serving A spoonful of Twitter Tips

I do not know about you, however I was so confused about Twitter, in fact, I got anxious when I thought about tweeting.   To say I was confused is an understatement!  I actually hyperventilated at the mere thought of posting.

These tips are for the Newbie, the person who is so confused or has said “I do not see the point”.  If I had been armed with a few of these tips from the get go I may not have had so many anxious moments.  This is what prompted me to Put on my Tiara (thinking cap) and share a few tips with you.  Newbies should be spoon fed and not fed a full six course meal at the beginning. Therefore, I will be sharing this in easily digestible courses.

I want you to take a deep breath and just ease into it, you will be a pro in no time at all.

First Course- The Appetizer

Picking your Twitter Handle (name) is your first step, we shall call this The Appetizer. Things to consider when picking your Twitter Handle

  1. Will you be using this account to promote a cause, business or organization? If so you will want to choose a name that is easily recognized with that in mind. If you have branded yourself you will want to have an account to have others get to know and recognize you.  For instance, One of my “handles” is TiaraTotingLady   I also have this blog and a facebook page  named the same.  This   This is a great way for people to get to know, like and trust you.
  2. Go to Canva or another source to make a creative header-This will attract attention.
  3. Always have a profile picture- one never wants to have an Egghead as  their profile picture
  4. Get a bio ready – I am always fine tuning mine.  If you are using this for business get creative  see what/how others are  writing theirs                       Enjoy the process, do not let it stress you out,  Stay tune for part 2 (the main course ) next week  where I will share  how to get started posting, following and gaining followers.
